Ora is a Catholic prayer app with prayers, rosaries, chaplets, reflections, personal prayer journeys and optional reminders. You can use Ora without creating an account.

Ora saves your preferences, favourites, reader settings, prayer progress and any prayer intentions you enter locally on your device or in your browser. These are not uploaded to an Ora account or server. Device backups may include app data according to your device settings. Please avoid entering information you would not want stored on your device.

Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device after you give permission. Ora does not register a remote push token. Widgets display bundled daily reflections and suggested prayers. You can disable reminders in Ora Settings or your phone settings.

The website host and services that deliver app updates receive network information such as your IP address and request details when contacted. Native app updates are delivered through Expo. The daily readings screen can request readings hosted on GitHub Pages. External reading and source links open third-party websites, which have their own privacy policies. Your saved prayer intentions, favourites and prayer progress are not included in these requests. Ora does not include advertising or an analytics SDK in the app.

You can edit preferences and remove favourites in the app. Local app data remains until you change or delete it. Deleting the native app (rather than offloading it), or clearing the website’s storage in your browser, removes its local data; separately stored device backups are managed through your device provider. There is no Ora account to delete.

We may update this policy when Ora’s features or data practices change. Contact the same address with privacy questions or requests about your support correspondence.
